Claws

Book Report

For my book report I chose to read a book called Claws by Will Weaver. This book was very interesting and had me wanting to keep reading to see what would happen next. It was very realistic and compelling, which is what I love in a book. I hope you enjoy reading my book review of this book.

The main character Jed Berg thought his life couldn’t get any better. He has a beautiful girlfriend one year older than him, a hot car, popularity and good grades in school, and especially two wonderful parents who love each other; and that is what he values most of all. Soon all this began to slowly change.

Then one day after school Jed finds a note on his car saying that his girlfriend Cassie really wants to talk to him after school at everyone’s favorite restaurant Perkins. So he shows up and a girl with pink hair and gothic clothes shows up. This was not Cassie. She starts talking about how much they have in common but Jed doesn’t want to hear it and leaves.

About a week after he met the punk chick at the restaurant the same girl sent him an email about how her mom and his dad were having a secret affair. She has proof and sends pictures and everything.

So they meet up at the restaurant a couple times to decide what to do about their cheating parents. Then the girl soon reveals to him that she’s not really a punk chick at all but a girl that has a life much like him. She also told him that her real name was Laura.

Slowly both Jed and Laura’s perfect life began to fall apart. In the mist of all of this disaster strikes and now Jed and Laura are in a race against time. Together can Jed and Laura pull through it all right? This story has romance, tragedy, survival and family. So what happened? Read the book to find out. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who is looking for something different.

Nice job on your review, Camille. You explain the conflict well without giving the end away.
