      My Book Review

By: Delaney

How would you feel if your boyfriend was a vampire? It’s pretty weird. Well in the book Twilight by: Stephenie Meyer, it happens.

Twilight is about a girl named Bella Swan, who comes to live with her dad for awhile in Forks, WA because she doesn’t want to go with her mom and step dad to Florida and she doesn’t want to stay home alone. So the next day after her arrival, she goes to Forks High School where almost everyone knows her because her dad (Charlie) is a police officer there. So she didn’t have trouble making friends.

At lunch that day she looks over at this table where everyone sitting there was beyond beautiful. So she asks her new friend, Jessica, who they were. Jessica says that they are the Cullen family, a group of foster children, who lives with Dr. Carlisle Cullen and his wife. Their names are Rosalie, Emmett, Jasper, Alice, and Edward who really caught Bella’s attention.

In physics Edward sits next to her and stays as far away as possible from her and Bella doesn’t know why.

They eventually start to get to know each other and Bella finds out why he was sitting so far away from her. Because he is a vampire and her blood smelled so good and he didn’t want to hurt her.

Their relationship grew and she found out that the rest of his family were vampires too, but only feeds off animals. So Edward takes her to watch him and his family play baseball. The loud noises attracted other vampires who feed off humans. Their names were Victoria, James, and Laurent. The wind blew and James smelled Bella’s blood. James began his hunt for Bella.

The hunt leads them to Phoenix, AZ and the hunt ends up in Bella’s old dance studio. James gets killed and Bella almost turns into a vampire which gets Edward into a conflict of whether to leave her to turn into a vampire or suck the venom out.

I really loved this book. It was a wonderful read and it had a lot of action and romance. I really liked how the book was suspenseful and I loved the part at the end when Edward takes her to prom. But I didn’t like how some of the parts had no action at all it was just her thinking.

I would definitely recommend this book. If you really love reading about mythical creatures, action, and romance you will love this book!

This is my poem about Earth! I hope you like it!

Earth

Green

This was the color

Of the earth before

However it is no more

Sadly

Now it’s polluted

It is

Damaged down to the core

We need to give a little more.

So…

Reduce, reuse, recycle

To help save our earth

To keep the sky a light blue

And not a dark gray

There are

Also

Endangered species

That we need

To save

So that our kids

Get the chance

To see

The beautiful

Animals

All around the world!

I would like

My children

To see

The beautiful earth

And all it’s creatures

            Before they decease

Nice job sharing the plot and highlights of the Twilight story. I liked your opening sentence hook. The whole story seems weird to me, but it sounds like a suspenseful, romantic journey, which is a good recipe for a successful novel.
