A dog is a man’s best friend and there are many things people should know and do to help their dog live a healthier life. Dogs are our best friends, as we bond with them from little puppy to adulthood. The thought and fact of our dog dieing slips the mind or we just don’t want to think about it. We just want to let the bond grow between you our self the dog. Although when the time comes for the dog, the time comes.

                              Lifetime

Did you ever wonder how long does the average dog live? Dog experts agree that the smaller dogs tend to live out the larger dogs. The average large and medium dogs can live out to about 10 years. The average life expectances for small dogs are somewhere about from 12-15 years of age.

                         Dogs Health

A dog’s health is the most important part of the dog for it to live healthier, stronger, and live longer. Dogs are able to catch diseases, ailments, and poisons. Some of these of which will cause, and effect humans in a way. Dog’s health is important to watch during summer time and winter. For example during the summer dogs should never be left alone outside. That is because during summer the temperature can rise and the heat and humidity can be very dangerous to the dog, because high heat and humidity can kill a dog if the dog is left alone outside without any food and water. Without any food or water the dog can die of starvation or of dehydration.

               Most common dog breed

The Labrador Retrievers are the number one most popular family dog. The Labrador retriever is the friendliest dog. They are lovable, smart, and a great with kids kind of dog. According to breed surveys the Labrador retriever is the most commonly found dog in families.

               Diseases and disorders

Your dog and other dogs can be prone to disorders and diseases, such as hip dysphasia, blindness, deafness, and many more other diseases and disorders. The most common dog that is prone to hip dysphasia are spot dogs. Hip dysphasia is caused by the abnormal place of the hip socket. Did you know that hip dysphasia is sometimes found in humans, but is more commonly found in dogs?  One most infectious disease that dogs are associated with would be rabies. Rabies are very fatal to humans and if left alone and untreated rabies can kill you. The symptoms of rabies are the malaise, headache, and fever. Then later in the stages if still left alone and untreated the stages would be acute pain, uncontrollable excitements, violent movements, depressions, and the inability to swallow water.

                         Dogs Diet

It’s important to maintain a dog’s healthy diet. Dogs are just like an omnivore, but they are also classified as a carnivore. An omnivore is an animal that only eats meat. A carnivore is an animal that only eats vegetables and no meat. This means that dogs just don’t eat meat or vegetables. This just means that dogs just need to eat some vegetables, some meat, and not to mention they also need some grains too. Also another thing a dog needs for its health and diet is at least plenty of exercise and should at least try to get two walks per day.

               Dangerous substances

There are foods that a dog can have and there are foods that a dog can’t have. Some of the dangerous foods that dogs should never ingest are chocolate, onions, grapes, raisins, certain types of gum, sweeteners, and macadamia nuts. These foods should never be ingested, and if ingested take the dog to the vet. If the dog is vomiting and is having diarrhea it can become life- threatening for the dog. Alcoholic beverages also should never be left out alone, because it is very poisons to the dog and is very life threatening to the dog if left untended. If the dog has ingested the alcohol get the dog to vet immediate. If you have a dog this information should be very helpful with future references.
