Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire BY: J.K. Rowling Book Review

This year Hogwarts is hosting the Tri-Wizard Tournament. A tournament, which means two other schools have come to, Hogwarts, to compete Drumstrang and Beauxbatons will stay at Hogwarts for the school year and tournament. The school champions have to compete in three life-threatening challenges. To be the win the Tri- Wizard Cup. So when Harry’s name comes out of that cup his whole world has been turned upside down. Now only does he have to compete he has to make Ron Weasley (his best friend) believe that he didn’t put his name in the goblet but figure out how to ask the girl he likes Cho Chang to the Yule Ball. But he manages to pull it all off with the help of his friends Ron, Hermione Granger, Hagrid, his house-elf friend Dobby, ex-convict and loving god- father Sirius Black. They help and support Harry throughout the Tournament. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this thrilling page-turner with romance, action, adventure, and suspense. Anyone would enjoy this if they were looking for a good read.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire By:J.K. Rowling Book Report

BEFORE THER TOURNAMENT:

Me: Harry what were you thinking about when you’re your name was came out of the Goblet of Fire?

Harry: I thought it was a mistake I thought it was some mean joke someone decide to play.

Me: But the rules state that whatever name comes out of the goblet has to participate in the Tri-Wizard Tournament.

Harry: Yeah, I know.

Me: How did you get your name in the Goblet of Fire? If there was an age line. *

Harry: I didn’t put my name in that goblet. I couldn’t even get past that age line even if I wanted to!

Me: Did you have an older student put it in?

Harry: NO!

Me: How are you going handle the challenges against older students?

Harry: Actually I haven’t even thought about the challenges yet.

Me: Have you prepared anything for your first task?

Harry: I can’t really prepare anything if I don’t know what the challenge is.

Me: Do you think it’s a disadvantage to go up against three other students at least three years older than you?

Harry: I guess. Maybe.

Me: What do you think your friends will say about this?

Harry: They… um… will probably say something like “Harry, mate how did you get your name in the goblet. How come you didn’t put me in too?

Me: Ahha, interesting is there anything else you’re willing to share with us today!

Harry: Na.

AFTER THE TOURNAMENT:

Me: I heard that Cedric Diggory died near the end of the tournament is this true? How did he die?

Harry: Cedric died because of Voldemort. The Tri-wizard cup was a port key to some graveyard and Voldemort had one of his servants kill Cedric. Then he used some potion that his servant had made and he had to put in his limb, then he cut me to put in some of my blood and then boom Voldemort came back and tried to kill me. But luckily I got back to the port key in time and I was safe.

Me: so then would classify Cedric as a hero?

Harry: Yes, I would Cedric died doing something very noble.

Me: So did Cedric have a fighting chance or did You-Know-Who get him first?

Harry: No, the second we got there the servant used one of unforgivable curses.  And then Cedric then died.

Me: How did you get away?

Harry: Well first Voldemort challenged me to duel. Then he used the wand-disarming spell and my wand didn’t go anywhere; the he tried to use the same unforgivable curse that he used on Cedric. Then like a strand of string, but not string something more like a spell, came out of my wand and more circled around us and about ten minutes later out of his wand appeared Cedric, some person I didn’t know, and my parents. They said don’t let go and they would give me a few minutes of distracting time, so I could run to the port key. That’s how I got away from Voldemort.

Me: WOW! That’s amazing for a fourth year.

Harry: Um… thanks.

Me: Well thanks. Look in the Daily Prophet tomorrow for your story.

Harry: Well thanks I’ll be looking for the paper tomorrow.

I especially liked your interview with Harry. You asked better questions than the reporter lady in the movie (I must admit I didn't read the book). That scene near the end when his parents hold the wand was exciting; I don't think the "person I didn't know" was in that scene in the movie version.
