• Go to Youth Voices.  This is an online website created by middle school and high school students in New York City.  Click on one of the tabs (New/Current, Popular, Podcast, Images/Videos, Guides, Groups).  Read/view one of the entries.  Write down the name and date of the entry.  Comment on the entry (likes/dislikes/questions/thoughts). (5 points.)
• Go to Newseum.  Find a newspaper's front page from a city you are interested in (go to Gallery, List, or Map).  Read an article.  Write the name of the newspaper and the article's name.  Summarize the article. (5 points.)
• Go to Mr. Kabodian's blog.  Read one of his poems or an earlier entry.  Write down the name and date of the entry (or poem).  Comment on the entry or poem (likes/dislikes/questions/thoughts).(5 points)
  • or if you can't get into any of Mr. Kabodian's writings, try this: go to our school newspaper site and list at least 5 things we could add to it.  For example, what could we add to the Advice page?  What World News do we need an article on?  What's happening in the school that we need to share with the students?
