Revenge of the Wannabes
The book I read was the Revenge of the Wannabes from Lisi Harrison’s popular series The Clique. In this book, the Pretty Committee and Kuh-Lair live in Westchester, New York. They attend OCD Academy an expensive all girls academy where Massie Bock is the Queen, and Dylan, Alicia and Kristen are her Betas.
When the girls find out that there is a uniform contest for their school, sponsored by Teen Vogue, they immediately get to work and think of ideas. Alicia and Olivia are a team competing against Massie and Claire. When Alicia wins because she cheated Massie gets very mad and does what she does best, gets revenge and calls Lucinda to model along with Alicia.
When Alicia and Olivia go to Teen Vogue the first time they learn that there is more to the prize than an exclusive interview. When Massie finds out she makes sure that she is in on the fun.
Alicia finds out what Massie did and starts her own clique with Olivia; and they pick out their betas.
Kristen and Dylan must choose between the two cliques.
Even though the shoot doesn’t end nice Alicia and Massie work things out.
I really liked that there were problems with the uniform contest and how creative the problems were. Also I liked that the photo shoot turned out to become so good after all of the fighting that happened before. What I didn’t like was that when Alicia started her own clique she copied everything that Massie and the Pretty Committee did.
If you want to read a book with wealthy girls, an over the top life style, drama, and best friends then this easy and fast read would be good for you.

This story sounds like it takes place on another planet. I guess that's one reason I don't teach at an expensive academy. Fine job of giving us a feel for the book.
