Artemis Fowl and the Eternity Code

            The Fowls were a long chain of criminal Masterminds. Artemis being only 12 was the smartest in history. The Fowl family is one of the richest in the whole world and has their own castle/house that is heavily guarded by censers and traps in Ireland. This story takes place all over the globe.

             In the beginning of the story Artemis Fowl travels to Knightsbridge, England with Butler (his servant). Artemis and Butler traveled their to show off his latest source of fairy technology which he created after being the only human to get in contact with the fairies. They were meeting up with billionaire John Spiro who was making lots of money in communications. Artemis wasn’t going to sell the (c-cube) but wanted to see how much the man would pay for it. But things took a turn for the worst and Spiro steals the cube and Butler is shot and Dying. The police were over in seconds after they heard the explosion and found Butler almost dead.  Artemis ran to a local freezing chamber were he met a women who was in her thirties. Artemis quickly bought a freezing chamber. He carefully put Butler in right about when he was about to die. Normally he wouldn’t have been able to come back to life but Artemis called up an old friend of his from the underneath the earth. Her name is Holly.

            Holly is a fairy who is part of the LEPrechion squad Fairy police. Captain Holly Short came to England and helped Artemis. She used her Fairy power and Healed Butler. Butler being trained in every martial arts and being worldly known as one of the best body guards was healed. But the healing came with a cost. The healing made him physically age fifteen years and part of the Kevlar vest that he was wearing got stuck to his chest. Artemis felt bad for him. Butler was very happy even though he got older that he was saved.

            After Holly left Artemis and Butler started searching for were Spiro could be. They went Back to the Fowl Manor (his house) and looked up were he worked. On the other side Spiro had a problem. The only way to activate the cube was the password and Artemis had put it in gnomish which are the language of the world underneath them. There was no way to decipher it. The password was an Eternity code. Spiro sent spies to kill Artemis but Artemis out maneuvered them each time.

            Artemis, Butler, Juliet who is Butlers  15 year old sister who is trained in martial arts, Mulch diggums who is a dwarf that has special powers and holly all go to the Spiro head quarters in Chicago. Holly used cam foal which makes them invisible and snuck up the many levels of the building. Artemis and Mulch started climbing up the side of the building. Artemis hung on to Mulches shoulders while mulch started scaling the building.

            Finally holly made it to the top of the skyscraper and so did mulch and Artemis. They found out that the c-cube was stored in a vault on the same floor. The area was covered with motion detectors, heat sensors, cameras and lots of guards. Foaly who is not Holly is a super genius like Artemis but is a centaur and lives underground. He hacked in to the building and shut down the cameras.  All of them ran into Spiros room to get Spiro. They only had two minutes till the cameras would be back on. The doors to the vault were the cube was fingerprint censored but you take a fake imprint because it was put upside down. You couldn’t access the vault without the real finger. With Holly’s magic they broke into Spiro’s room. They couldn’t carry him to the vault because that would take to long, so that had to cut of the finger. Artemis ran to the vault alone while everyone else left except for Holly who followed him in cam foil just in case something went wrong. He accessed the vault and got in and received the c-cube. But somehow Spiro and his body guards were standing in the doorway…….

            How would he get away? Read the book to find out.

 

            I liked this book because it was action packed and involved a lot of future technology. The plot was great and always kept you on your toes.

            I would recommend this book because it’s a fun read and is a great page turner. Once you finish a chapter you will want to start on the next.  I would recommend that you read the first to books first.

THE MOUNTAINS

 

Mountains are found all over the earth.  They have been on earth for as long new Mexico all the way to northern Canada. Zeus thought this method would stop the humans from going any as earth has been around.  This is my myth about how mountains and mountain passes formed. Zeus the most powerful Greek god was not very found of man.  Even though Pandora's box had sent all those terrible things on to earth the humans still seemed to be happy.  This annoyed Zeus very much.  People multiplied and spread all over the world.

          It is now 1835 A.D. people in America were becoming very interested what lied to the west of the Mississippi river.

          Zeus heard about these men and women who wanted to go west.  To make  the journey impossible Zeus used all his godly power and made rock come up from the earth creating a chain of mountains from southern further west into his sacred ground.  Zeus knew that some of them actually will make it across but the humans that did would wish they died on the way.

          Non of the humans knew about the rocky mountains.  Then to Zeus's astonishment he saw that the humans were creating wagons covered in tarps.  There were large animals called oxes that were very strong.

          The traveling for the pioneers was really rough.  When they reached the mountains it changed.  Zeus wanted the humans to suffer so he pulled the mountains higher and higher.  Posiden had watched enough.  He and Zeus fought on the mountains for days and nights.  The battle went on for weeks creating terrible earth quakes. 

          Posiden was slowly getting weaker and Zeus and he saw it.  So Posiden tricked Zeus to thinking that he pushed posiden off the cliff onto the mountains to create a pass.

 

 

          Zeus found out about his trick and made Posiden suffer.  He made a blizzard go through the pass every time a human went through it.  Thanks to Posiden the pioneers can get to the western coast.
