The Summoning

Seeing dead people only happens to a few unknown people in this world.   But for the girl name Chloe, it happens every day of her lifetime. It all started when she was at least six years old. She was always scared of going down into the basement,   because, she was never told she can see a dead man hanging under the roof top. Her family knew that Chloe had a special gift to see, hear, and feel dead people. Chloe always thought that seeing dead people was in her mind and in her dreams. Her mother gave her a red necklace to use and protect her. Once her mother died she had no one to talk to and feel what she was feeling.

Chloe’s way to express herself was to take acting class, which she is the director. During that day Chloe skip one of her classrooms and had went into the girls bathrooms to dye her hair red. Once she dye her hair, she went back out of the girls bathroom and into the hallway and seen a janitor who doesn’t look like an ordinary janitor. The   janitor looks like he as secondary burns across his face. He was pale and knew Chloe’s name.  The way she looked at him, she knew that he was dead. Chloe can tell that the man is dead by, the burn marks going down his face with his clothes.  The man kept on following Chloe because he knew she was the only person for him to speak to. Once Chloe found out she was being chase by a dead janitor, Chloe knew she will need help!  The classrooms doors were open, when they heard Chloe screaming down the hall, they knew something was wrong.

As they see Chloe talking to herself, they think of Chloe as a mental illness student and called the Lyle House for mental illness. This book is mainly about Chloe who is in a mental hospital where she thinks she is crazy of seeing ghost, but she can really see ghost and even can summon them if she chooses. The Lyle House is really for maintaining their strengths. Once Chloe settle in the hospital, she gets a chance to meet some of the kids that lives there. The kids that became her soon best friends were; Simon, Derek, Rae, and Liz. Ever since Chloe been at the Lyle house, she finds something more to learn about her friends. Was it obvious that the kids had a special gift to use? Or to control The world? Or is Lyle House a place to kill the unknown part of their world. But once her best friend Liz was pulled away from the hospital to the mental hospital, will she ever get to see her friend again or is she dead? The mystery is all up to you, to read and find out.

What I like about the book The Summoning was that, this book gives me a lot of suspense on what’s happening!  This book is good to recommend to  people that loves to read a lot of mysteries, or loves a book that can show terror around the corners of this world.  The book is a Novel that can keep you to a great clip hanger and twist turning pages. And you will never know what is coming around the corner. Even if you suspected it to happen to the people in this book, it will always be a mystery that once you turn the page, the mystery is never unsolved. The book has up to 390 pages.
