What to do about bullying

Page history last edited by AKabodian 12 years, 7 months ago

Thoughts on the issue from 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th hours:

  • have a required group for bullies to attend on how to treat people with respect

  • warnings, suspensions, then expulsion!

  • bullies should go to jail where they will be beat up bad and then they will understand and not bully anymore

  • try to ignore the teasing, but when it gets bad then the bully should be expelled

  • find a way for teachers to be in the classrooms (not monitoring halls) --- maybe have lunch room monitors watch halls

  • have a program to help people deal with bullies

  • Have the bullies known as bullies in the community (faces on news)

  • Talk about it more and make it more well known what you can do about bullying

  • Do something about verbal bullying, not just physical

  • Some felt that the bullies should be bullied or humiliated

  • Make corporal punishment legal again (smacking with a ruler or paddling students) and bullies wouldn't step out of line
