Dreams of fantasy,

Dreams of despair,

You are thinking that they are really there,

Being afraid or sad that the dream is gone,

Stuck in your mind,

Checking if it comes alive deep within the darkness,

Dreams of fantasy,

Dreams of despair,

So which kind of dream would you

Want?

 

 

The Magician

The book takes place in Paris, France where Nicholas Flamel, Josh and Sophie Newman are being chased down by Dr. John Dee and his allies for the last two pages of Codex to turn the world back into a dark world.

While in Paris running away from Dr. John Dee Nicholas finds one of his old students, Comte de Saint-Germain who is also immortal like Nicholas and helps the twins out by letting them hide in his house. They fight magical creatures and go to places secretly below Paris.

At the end Josh also has the ability to do magic like his sister does.

The magician part of the title is Comte de Saint-Germain because he can do tricks with his magical fire like how a magician does tricks with magic.

My favorite part of the story is when Josh, Sophie, and Comte de Saint-Germain were fighting stone gargoyles under a magic Dee cast on them to attack them. Josh and Sophie combined their magic powers and defeat the gargoyles.

I would recommend this book to those who likes fantasy with a mix of action
