Career Report

Some of the values that are important to me as a student are honesty, respect for others, and learning. One really important thing to me as a student is honesty because I don’t want lies to ruin the future I have, I will also not be trusted by my teachers. Another really important thing to me is respect for others because when you have respect for others they will respect you back. A last very important value to me as a student is learning because I want to be able to learn as much as I can so I can use it to help me with my future jobs and my life. Those were some of the values that are important to me as a student.

Most of the things that I learned about my job as a veterinarian included the pay, the amount of school I need to go through, and the environment I would work in. The pay that I would typically get would be $87,590 a year and would get $42.11 an hour if I work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for the whole year which is a really good amount. I also learned about the amount of school that I needed to go through to become a veterinarian like a Doctor of Veterinary medicine from an accredited college and a state licenses. A last very important thing I learned that I need to become a veterinarian is the environment that I would typically be in, this would be a private clinic or hospital or some people who have the job I want work on/at farms, laboratories, classrooms and for the government.

What I would do in the future to become what I have always wanted to be I need to have these values cooperation, helping/service, and money. I would have to have cooperation to be able to learn how to be patient when I am working with people at my job and in my life. I would need helping/service to learn how to help people in the right moment and be able to have that skill. I would finally need money to help me with my future to deal with student loans, taxes, bills, etc. Those were the values I would need in my future to help me get the job I’ve always wanted.

My poems

Sick day

My mom in a rush to pick me up.

The snow coming down making it hard to see her car from the dark office.

Boom the door goes as she enters

Once at home I lay own in a soft blanket.

She kisses my snow white face.

I close my eyes as I begin to fall into a deep sleep.

Winter time

The fresh powder on the ground.

Kids screaming with joy sledding down the hill.

Click, click my boots go as I get closer to the hill

I hop on my sled as excited as a dog getting a new bone.

A rush of thrill goes through me as I race down the hill.

When it ends all I want to do is do it over and over again.

Once at home its time to rest after a fun day even without sun.

A cup of hot coco and a warm blanket watching Netflix

A good way to end a good day.

Reflections

During this first semester I've learned a lot of new things and some things added on to my knowledge. Some of the main things I learned are in this paragraph. One thing I learned were some reading strategies to help me understand what I'm reading. Another thing I learned was to keep myself organized so I can continue to be a good student. A last major think I learned was to use a lot of computer applications in my computer animations class like adobe flash and fireworks. Those were some of the main things I learned this semester.

During this semester in English class we learned and did lots of  assignments. One thing I liked when doing the projects was the topics we got, they were all fun and good ones to write to . The other things I like was the amount of the time we got to do our work because I could get my work done and also have extra time to revise my work. There was not much I didn't like but if I could change anything I would change the amount of partner work because I like working alone and to do as much as possible with some projects with partners. besides the one thing I think Mr.Kabodian is a really good teacher and I am looking forward o the rest of the year.

Persuasive essay: Smoking

Smoking is a really bad thing that affects peoples lives everyday. Smoking can make people lose their brain cells before their education is over or can also make people get a disease like cancer and strokes, and also can give people who don't smoke get second hand smoke. I strongly believe that smoking should be illegal if the person is twenty-one and under. Smoking should be illegal because smoking causes brain cells to die, people get diseases, and people who don't smoke get second hand smoke.

The first reason why smoking should be illegal if the person is twenty-one and under because smoking can cause brain cells to die before these people are done with their educations. smoking cause brain cells to die because brain cells need oxygen to stay alive and since the person is inhaling harmful smoke the brain cells aren't getting oxygen and they die. So now the people have lots of dead brain cells making it hard for them to learn and finish their educations. So that is one reason why smoking should be illegal if the person is twenty-one and under. (livestrong.com)

Another reason why smoking should be illegal if the person is twenty-one and under because of the diseases that people can get a young age and could die. The diseases and problems that could happen to a person when they smoke a lot are lung, throat cancer, strokes and heart disease. These are all very deadly diseases that can kill all of the young people who haven't lived their lives that long. there are also so things that affect people for the rest of their lives like blindness, diabetes and asthma. that is another reason why smoking should be illegal if the person is twenty-one and under.

A final reason why smoking  should be illegal if someone id twenty-one and under because of the second hand smoke that someone can kill someone who doesn't smoke." Second hand smoke kills 53,800 people a year because of the actions of other people.'' (nosmoke.org) The diseases said in paragraph three can all happen to other people because someone else's actions. People can die because of someone else's actions. That is the third reason why smoking should be illegal if someone is twenty-one and under.

In conclusion smoking should be illegal if people are twenty-one and under because of brain cell loss, gain of diseases, and second hand smoke. Brain cell loss because it causes people lose brain cells before they are done with their main education. Gains of diseases happen like lung and throat cancer, strokes and heart disease. Second hand smoke because peoples young friends get diseases and die for not even smoking. So I hope I convinced people that smoking should be illegal if someone is twenty one and under.
