 Final Reflection

    So far in this semester we have done many assignments, from the book of choice review, to the public service announcement. I thought the topics were very interesting and eye catching. I was never bored while reading English material of any kind. When we were in the writing stage of things, I felt that we had a fair amount of time to think of ideas. We also had a lot of time to write the story or essay. Then type it after. For example, the Walk Two Moons essay, we recieved about four or five days to write and type our story which was good for me if I focused.

     Also there was a lot of good and kind feedback given, which helped me make better pieces of writing throughout the year. Another thing was the time working with others. The mix up of working alone and with others was good, because sometimes it is nice to just work by yourself and with your ideas. While other times it is good to hear other ideas and input from people. At first the wiki was a little bit of a struggle considering that I am not very good with technology. A few times it would delete all of the work I just typed. After a while I got the hang of it though. The save and continue button has saved me a few times now from accidentally deleting all of my work. 

     The writing process was very good to learn and go over it many times. It was nice to revise, rewrite, have rough drafts, and final drafts. It is good to have the skill of this process, because someday considering what I want to be, I will have to write many papers and speeches. You are not going to go out and present something going off of your rough draft. There is going to be many drafts and lots of revising. So I was glad to have that skill taught and encouraged.

     This year I learned many things in my different classes. For example how to stay organized. I was pretty organized anyways, but there are some papers and packets that you just cannot lose. For example the unit packets in Social Studies. Tabs helped me with that. I also have learned at home when I am doing homework that I need to listen to music. I get distracted very easily with lots of things going on so it helps me focus. Another thing that I learned this year is when I study I need to be in a comfy place where I am not rushed.

     I feel that in projects, and just with people in general, that I have treated them with kindness and respect. When I use computers I don't mess around and I get my work done quickly and diligently. Throughout the year many things have been discovered about where and how I learn best, and I will keep discovering things the rest of the years I am in school.
