Also Known As Harper Book Review.

What would you do if you had your parents had barely any money? Lived on the sidewalk or kept being told that your family didn't have enough money to have a roof over your head and living in a old beaten up house? Well this amazing, interesting book that makes me want to keep reading, Also Known As Harper, has it all. Harper Lee an ordinary middle school girl finds out that her, her brother (Hemmingway) and her mom doesn't  have enough money and have to move out of there house because Harpers mom lost her job.

Harper is really good at writing and her dream is to win the poem contest at her school, and she really wants to win it and read her poems out to the school. There is only one problem though. She hasn't read in front of a lot of people, only two people, so how is she going to cope in front of the whole school?

I would recommend this book because it makes me think about the world and how not everyone has everything they want and would like and maybe not even enough money to live in a house, the people who do are lucky. Harper and her family are really poor but they have some money to live in a house but they are still struggling. Mostly its because Harpers mom lost her job where she was earning the most money.

With Harpers mom scrambling around with  work and trying to find another job, Harper has to stay home from school most days to look after her brother (Hemmingway)

Harpers mom, her favorite book is To Kill A Mocking Bird and she decided to name her daughter a favorite poet and that's how Harper Lee got her name. Her mom was hoping that Harper would be a really good poet when she grew up, and surprisingly she is.

Harpers dad walked out when she was little and he left them with too many bills and very little money.

My author of the book is Ann Haywood Leal. And I would defiantly recommend reading her other books.

In the book, I liked when Harper and Hemmingway would go on adventures, like when they went by their old house that they were in when they were still with there dad, and it made them sad because they could remember all the happy times and unfortunately the sad times too. When Hemmingway saw this boy playing in the pond out the front of the house he got mad because he used to do that all the time and he didn't want anyone else to play in his pond. They only did that when Harper wasn't at school and I also liked reading her poems throughout the book and I generally really liked the plot.

I think that everyone should read this amazing book, Also Known As Harper it just makes me want to keep me reading on and on, I love this book.
