Books
Books inspire me.
They come in all different forms,
Tall, short, wide, skinny,
Old, new.
When you open the cover, flip the pages,
Crisp.
You hear that wonderful sound.
You read the first sentence and then
Your imagination starts to tick.
What will happen?
When i was little
My mom always played music.
She would talk to me.
I would answer.
I would sing to the songs.
I learned the words.
I learned how to read.
In kindergarten i was reading
Chapter books.
I was advanced
Ahead
I loved it.
I pick up a book my mom had put on my bed.
A book in a series, one of the best I would ever read.
The first
Harry Potter book.
I read the title
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
It sounds interesting, it sounds weird but,
It sounds magical.
I will give it a try.,
Throughout the year i read the series.
Every detail by J.K Rowling was so
Perfectly written.
It was like a perfectly crisp apple in the fall.
I was inspired to write.
All different genres.
I strive to write like her.
Harry Potter inspired me.
I was at the book store.
Looking through books to read.
Rows and rows and rows, so many options.
My mom walks over and gives me a book.
A Wrinkle in Time, the trilogy.
A Wrinkle in Time.
An amazing book.
Magic,
Strong Women,
Adventure.
I read 'till midnight.
I read all day.
Always being on the edge.
As a good book should be.
I wanted to explore,
be creative.
A Wrinkle in time inspired me to do that.
It helped send me down a path.
More and more books,
All with a lesson, all with a strong character.
An excellent book.
Once you pick up a excellent book,
Read it.
There is no going back.
So many messages,
So many meanings,
It gives another chance.
That is why books inspire me.
