Reflection Of The 1st Semester By Luz W
My thoughts on the first semester was that the first semester was good. A few things I liked a few things I disliked. For example I liked our writing and reading assignments but, I didn't like how our writing assignments all took at least an hour of time to write. This meaning with no distractions. The time would also change depending on how the wiki worked. Many times the wiki caused problems. It wouldn't save and it would delete stuff. The wiki at sometimes is quite frustrating but, sometimes you can work around the problems. But even with the wiki I still liked the process of writing.
While writing having a rough draft on paper or even the wiki and then adding to it and changing it was helpful to me. I really just like writing in general. A few of the writing topics that we had were interesting to me, a few were not. I could tell others disliked a few of them too. I think we need more material that relates to more people.
Another thing that I liked was our class discussions. We could go into depth and find meaning. In English class I learned many new things like, not copying an entire paragraph off the internet but instead cutting it down and using different words to write my paragraph. I also learned how to understand books more by annotating them with reading strategies. Overall I think that this semester has been good and there is so much more that I can learn from this class.
