Badlands National Park

In the novel Walk Two Moons, Sal and her grandparents stop at many national landmarks. One that I learned about was the Badlands, below is a few interesting facts about the place that I researched on the internet.
- The Badlands are located in southwestern, South Dakota.
- The Badlands wilderness protects 64,144 acres as a designated wilderness area.

- The Badlands has many animals that are not familliar to other parts of the world.
- It was established on march 4, of 1929.
- The park was badly damaged during world war 2 and had to go through major restorations
