A dog is a man’s best friend and there are many things people should know and do to help their dog live a healthier life. Dogs are our best friends, as we bond with them from little puppy to adulthood. The thought and fact of our dog dieing slips the mind or we just don’t want to think about it. We just want to let the bond grow between you our self the dog. Although when the time comes for the dog, the time comes.

It’s important to maintain a dog’s healthy diet. Dogs are just like an omnivore, but they are also classified as a carnivore. An omnivore is an animal that only eats meat. A carnivore is an animal that only eats vegetables and no meat. This means that dogs just don’t eat meat or vegetables. This just means that dogs just need to eat some vegetables, some meat, and not to mention they also need some grains too. Also another thing a dog needs for its health and diet is at least plenty of exercise and should at least try to get two walks per day.

There are foods that a dog can have and there are foods that a dog can’t have. Some of the dangerous foods that dogs should never ingest are chocolate, onions, grapes, raisins, certain types of gum, sweeteners, and macadamia nuts. These foods should never be ingested, and if ingested take the dog to the vet. If the dog is vomiting and is having diarrhea it can become life- threatening for the dog. Alcoholic beverages also should never be left out alone, because it is very poisons to the dog and is very life threatening to the dog if left untended.
