Penguin Poem
Penguins
Swimming with such grace
But on land
They fall on their face
Hunting for fish
It’s a skill
It’s an art
All we do
Is push around a shopping cart
Adapted in so many ways
But it’s still a challenge
To take on the waves
The bonds they form are strong
Although it’s tough no to drop the eggs
Held between their little legs
Their job doesn’t come with ease
Feeling the harsh wind and snow
The little chick may freeze
The penguins from Happy Feet
Sing amazing songs
But the truth is
When you hear the real bird sing
You’d rather hear dings and dongs

SilverFin Book Review
SilverFin: A James Bond Adventure by Charlie Higson is a very well written book. The author created the character James Bond in his younger age into probably what James Bond really was in his youth. In the book his uncle Max was a spy, and he told young James of his many adventures and being captured, and his quick escapes. James is inspired by his stories and wants to have grand adventures like his uncle. And that's when his adventure really takes off.
The book starts out when he’s at a new school, and makes an enemy in his first week there. On James’s train ride home for the holiday break James helps out a ragged young man named Red Kelly sneak aboard and they become friends instantly. He is on his way to investigate his brotherS' disappearance and James Bond quickly offers to help. They look around a loch called Loch SilverFin, where Red’s brother disappeared. James and Red bump into a spy snooping around the loch investigating the father of James’s old enemy, Randolph Hellebore’s actions. This spy says Randolph is working something in his castle on an island in Loch SilverFin. Something so dangerous and wild, the US or European government didn’t want any part in it. Randolph has a sick twisted mind, and is a very rich and powerful man. He has connections with the police and he could get away with murder, in fact, he did. But when the chubby spy falls into the loch and meets his death, it’s up to Red Kelly and James Bond and a little help from James’s old foe George Hellebore, nothing more than a couple of determined teens to put a stop to this crazy, evil man.
I really enjoyed this book; it was a real page-turner once the story develops. I finished the whole second half of the book in a day because it was so good. I would defiantly recommend this book; it’s a perfect example of how power corrupts. And it has a great story. I would defiantly read the sequel. The young James Bond gets in a lot of binds and he finds unthinkable ways out. This book really shows how clever this secret agent is, even in his younger years.
