Lincoln Assassination

The Lincoln assassination was one of the tragedies with the least clues to what happened.   The important parts of what happened are the original plot, planning the assassination, Booth shot the president, the escape and the aftermath.

The ORIGINAL PLOT and Planning the assassination

At first, Booth planned to kidnap Lincoln. He thought Lincoln was the main problem of the south.   Some of the things that happened  in the planning were that Lincoln had a bounty on his head in the south.  For example, a woman with small pox kissed Lincoln on the cheek and tried to kill him. Some, but not all threats came by mail.

Booth knew what date Lincoln would be in Ford Theater.  So he knew what day to assassinate him.

Booth shot the president.

Booth got threw because the solder on the outside was a drunk and he wonder away so Booth got in .    Booth shot Lincoln with a Derringer pistol. After Booth shot Lincoln, he jumped to the floor of the theater and broke hie leg.

The escape

Booth was cornered  in Port Royal Virgina. He was slow because he had a broken leg from jumping after assassinating Lincoln in Ford Theater . He was forced to hide in a ditch for several days.  Booth was shot to death by soldiers in a tobacco bar.  The soldiers burned the tobacco bar.

The aftermath

Lincoln died 7:22 am on April 15,1865.  His eldest son was was at his side. He was the first president to be assassinated. They feared Vice President Johnson would also be assassinated, so guards were set up to protect him. One of his sons was buried alone because his wife said” He wanted to be his own man”  .    Finally those are the important parts about the Lincoln assassination. We have a lot of tragedies in are world today but at the time the Lincoln assassination was a big   tragedy.

The U.S.A. should be less dependent on fossil fuels. We will run out of fossil fuels if we keep using them. Pollution from cars and oil kill animals, gas prices waste our money,

All around the world fossil fuels are going to run out.   As we run out prices will go up at the gas station and cars will be expensive to drive.

Pollution one of the worlds worst disasters for animals. Every day animals die from pollution. Many animals that don’t die are losing their homes to pollution. An example of this is when all the fish in the gulf had to leave because of the oil spill.

My third reason is the less you drive, the more money you’ll have in your pockets. If we use all the fossil fuels we take from world we won’t have any money left.

In conclusion if you drive less and go green, we can be less dependent on fossil fuels. If you go green and drive less the U.S.A can and will be less dependent from fossil fuels!!!
