YOUNG DRIVING

                I don’t think that younger teens should be able to drive at a young age because of the dangerous car accidents that could happen if the driver is too young to drive, or sometimes parents have to buy car insurance for the young drivers car, when is car insurance cheap? Lastly, since younger drivers don’t really understand the rules of the car, what makes you think they could understand the rules of the road?

           

            Firstly, mature drivers have car accidents all the time whether it’s because their drunk or just because it was an accident, and that happens all over the world, but it mostly happens to teens that are legal to drive, so what about the ones that are illegal? Imagine how many car accidents the young aged drivers could have, imagine what could happen to the innocent kids or seniors that are just taking a walk, and all of a sudden a younger aged driver comes by and doesn’t see them, imagine what could happen to the world.

           

Secondly, car insurance is important to any and every car, and usually the owner of the car pays for the insurance but what will happen when young drivers step in? They can’t get a job, they still go to school, so that’s when the parents kick in, if everybody in your family owns a car (including the kids) then wouldn’t that lead into poverty? Think more about your family then you do about yourself.

 

            Lastly, are we mature enough to handle a car? Some adults and a lot of teens don’t agree understand the rules of the road; some don’t even understand the rules of the car, so what makes you think that young teens would understand? I think we should wait until we are mature enough to understand the rules of the road before we start driving.

             

            In conclusion, younger teens shouldn’t be able to drive because of the dangerous possibilities that could happen to the driver or to an innocent passenger, I know everyone wants to drive a car at a young age (I do), but just for the safety of kids, seniors and adults, we should leave the law as it is.

 

 

 

               The Reverse Time Machine

     “ Mallex!” Saige, Mallex’s little sister yelled.

 

      “What?” Mallex shouted back.

 

      “Mom wants you downstairs now!” Saige answered,

 

      “ Why?” Mallex asked while walking down the stairs.

 

      “ I don’t know, but she looks like she’s about to pass out because of the news that she’s holding back”. Saige and Mallex are two twins with identical minds. Saige, the girl, is a beautiful, hard working, smart girl, while Mallex, is a sloppy working, careless guy, But both twins are smart in ways that nobody has been in years and today, was their thirteenth birthday.

 

      “ Come on, Mallex! Saige you come too, I’m in the living room” Their mom shouted, not sounding so well.

 

      “She sounds terrible!” Mallex whispered as they made their way to the living room.

 

     “ I know it’s been like this all week, you’ve just been to careless to notice it” Saige answered.

 

 They got to the living room, “ Mallex, Saige, sit down, I have some news to tell you guys.

 

     “ What is it?” Mallex and Saige both said as they sat down on the couch.

 

     “ Gosh, I don’t know how to put this,” mom whispered to herself.

 

     “ It’s ok mom, we can handle things, and we’re thirteen now remember?” Saige commented.

 

     “ Ok, then you have to be able to handle it and make things right after,” Their mom stated.

 

     “ Absolutely!” Mallex and Saige both commented at the same time.

 

     “ A new law was passed last week that said that kids at age 13 have to build an electronic of some sort, so if the contraption works then they could sell it to the other planets” their mom blurted, looking worried“ and if the contraption doesn’t work then there is a consequence” their mom blurted out again, this time looking super unconscious.

 

     “ What consequence?” Mallex and Saige both asked, scared.

 

     ‘Death’ their mom mouthed, then dropped to the floor. Mallex and Saige we’re shocked, Saige unfroze when their mom dropped, and they rushed over to their mom’s side.

 

     “ Mom! Mom! Mom!” Saige yelled, shaking her mom trying to wake her, nothing happened.

 

     “ Mallex! Don’t just stand there! Do something!” Saige yelled.

 

     Mallex unfroze “ Like what?” Mallex screamed back.

 

     “ I don’t know! Something! Where’s the stupid Robot maid?” Saige screamed, freaking out.

 

     “ She went to buy some groceries!” Mallex yelled. Then the corner of his eye caught a digital pad.

 

     “ Saige! I think this was what mom was reading the other day!” Mallex screamed, then rushed over to the table where the pad was laying. He started reading.

 

     “ 13 years of wisdom and learning is enough for the average kid to digest, so now president few is passing a new law for kids and parents all over to enjoy! The new law states that teenagers at age 13 can build a time machine for all the planets to enjoy! Every teenager will have 2 months to build something, it has to work and it has to be electronic, and it has to help the people or environment in some way, the time starts 12pm and you will know because any parents the teenagers will have in the house will be temporarily dead, permanent if the teenagers don’t succeed.” The screen blackened.

 

     Mallex was the fastest reader in the house so by the time Mallex was done reading Saige started walking over.

 

     “ What’s it about?” Saige asked halfway over, calmed a bit. Mallex started thinking quickly about how to say the news.

 

     “ Saige! What time is it?” Mallex asked, wondering.

 

     “ Um, I think 12pm why? Saige answered, confused.

 

     “ I know why mom fell, mom didn’t finish her sentence either, it’s not death of us if we don’t finish the contraption, it’s death of her.” Mallex said slowly.

 

     Saige stood there, paralyzed. Then she started moving slowly, “ let me read that” she mouthed, unable to speak.

      Mallex handed her the pad. Saige read slowly, then lifted her head up, and yelled,  “Why are you still standing there? We need to start building the stupid thing!” then started running downstairs, not even waiting for her brother.

 

They started planning furiously, but still couldn’t think of anything.

 

“How about a fridge that could store an elephant?” Saige suggested.

 

     “ We already saw that before, and you we’re the only one interested in it, that’s why mom wouldn’t buy it” Mallex stated.

 

     “ Oh, right, well, I cant think of anything, if only we had more time to work on it” Saige murmured.

 

     “ Time…” Mallex started whispering to herself, “ Time! Saige! I have an idea! We could build a time machine!” Mallex suggested.

 

     “ Great idea! Let’s get working! I want to make it go into the future, ok?” Saige stated happily.

 

     “ Cool, okay! Let’s go!” Mallex grabbed Saige’s arm and ran to the basement to find parts for the machine.

 

 

For the next few days Saige and Mallex have been working on the time machine furiously trying to make it just right, they argued, they planned, they ate so fast that the cooking robot even watched in surprise, but most of all they took care of their mom.

 

 

     1 month later…

 

      “Finally! Done!” Mallex and Saige stated in perfection.

 

            “ Now all we need to do is test it out,” Saige pointed out.

 

            “ Okay, let’s go!” Mallex shouted in joy.

 

            A few months later…

 

            Mallex and Saige had sold their time machine to the mayor, and they got their mom back, they built another time machine and kept it just in case they got in trouble and needed to go back and change what they did, their mom didn’t know about this one. Shhh…
