MacDonald Middle School Should Have More After-School Activities
MMS (MacDonald Middle School) should have more after school activities. When you’re in an after school activity you’re usually doing something you enjoy. People enjoy after school activities because you can be involved in something just by having a certain interest. The after school activities at MMS are limited. Current after school activities includes track, volleyball, basketball, football, Chess Club and Debate, but, some students may not be interested in any of these activities. Some students might enjoy art, video games or other activities that are not offered after school. MMS should have more after school activities because it gives kids something to do so they can stay out of trouble, you can develop relationships and you can develop or improve on a skill.
Kids can get bored when they have nothing to do. When kids get bored they can cause trouble at home or in public places. Kids can get involved in illegal activities or have sex because they have nothing better to do. MMS should have more after school activities because it gives kids something to do so they can stay out of trouble.
My second reason is that MMS students can develop relationships. Do you ever wish that you had more time to talk to your friends? At school you usually talk to your friends at lunch or whenever you see each other in the hallway. When you’re in an after school activity you can talk to your friends and make new ones as well.
My final reason is that MMS students can learn or improve on a skill. Students may want to learn a new language. For example, if a student wants to learn German they can join an after school activity that focuses on the German language. If a student already knows how to speak a little German they can join an after school activity so they can improve their knowledge on the German language.
As you can see MMS should have more after school activities because it gives kids something to do so they can stay out of trouble, you can develop relationships and you can develop or improve on a skill. Also having more after school activities can improve the community by reducing illegal activities in the area as well as teen pregnancy.
