The name of the book I read was Freak The Mighty by Rooman Philbrick. Freak The Mighty was about a little guy name Freak who was descried in the book as a cripple. He and his mom moved to a town where Freak met a BIG guy named Max. Max wasn't the smartest kid around but not the dumbest either. They both became friends. Freak lives with his mom or so called the Fair Gwen in the book. His dad disappeared when he found out that Freak had a birth defect. Max on the other hand lives with Gram and Grim. Or Grandmother and Grandpa. His mom died when he was just a baby and his dad is in jail, accused of murder. His dad is well known to the town. His nick name is Killer Kane.For most of the beginning of the book, is a introduction of Freak and Max and how they become friends and school life and out of school life. Then it explains way the book is titled Freak The Mighty. The rest of the book is about all their adventures together,holidays,dangeres and "slaying dragons".Also, you will see that Freak has a BIG imagation.My favorite part was when Killer Kane got out out of jail on parole and in the dark night he went to Max's house, covered hid mouth with his hand and kidnapped him because I couldn't put the book down! It was SO good! What happens next... you might ask? well....you'll have to read to find out.
What I liked about this book was detail and the entire plot. Every page made me want to read more. It made me never want to stop reading. The book itself was amazing and very heartwarming. It had great adventure that made you want to read on.Throughout the rest of the book you see Freak ans Max meet knew people and have new adventures everyday.I would recamend this book because I think it is a great quality book and very heartwarming book that think every person would love! Freak the Mighty is a awesome book and I think people will love it and find its way in every persons heart.
