Book of choice review: Insurgent

Page history last edited by green514 11 years, 1 month ago

One of  my favorite books, and also my book of choice, is called, Insurgent. Veronica Roth is the author of Insurgent. the book has around 500-550 pages in it and every chapter kept me wanting to read more. The main characters include Tris, Tobias, Caleb, and all of the transfers that are in Tris's class. During the story, I found out that the big problem is that there is this one lady that is trying to destroy all of the factions, the different places people go based on tests, except her own. Tris is special because she is one of the very few Divergent people alive. Being Divergent means her test results for which faction she belongs in was inconclusive, so instead of one faction, the test showed she could belong in three different ones. At the choosing ceremony, where 16 year olds choose which faction they want to be in, Tris decided to go to Dauntless, where they had the hardest tests and weapons. In the end, Tris teams up with Tobias, her instructor and also boyfriend, and some of the other transfers that are in Dauntless with her, they called their team, Insurgent. Even though they all went through deaths, injuries, laughs, struggles, and a variety of people and places, Tris and everyone with her defeated and figured out the problems of the lady, Jeanine, that was out to kill Divergents and take down factions. I would definetly reccommend this book to anyone that enjoys science fiction stories and loves adventures because it was very interesting and kept me wanting to read. I really liked how they author wrote and how the characters had to go through so many challenges through their lives. I really didn't dislike anything in that story except some people might not like how people die and bleed in it.
