Perks of being a wallflower

Perks of being a wallflower is about a boy named Charlie who is going to high school after is Best friend Michael kills himself and its been very hard on him because he has no one to talk to because everyone from his grade last year went off on their own, so now Charlie is writing to a person to tell that friend that he needs someone to talk to, someone who won't be mean. he is starting to get worse and the only person he likes is his English teacher. He then goes to a football game where he meets two people Sam and Patrick who take him to this party which wasn't such a good idea because they were seniors and he was a freshman. So they get to the party and everyone is drinking, soon Patrick introduces Charlie to Mary Elizabeth, and Alice and they give him a special brownie, then Charlie starts talking a lot because of the brownies and finds out that Patrick is gay and is dating Brad the most popular guy in the school. After a couple of weeks have past Charlie has been smoking, drinking and went to the rocky house of horror and now is falling in love with Sam but she was already dating Craig. When Charlie goes to the Rocky House of Horror Craig isn't there so Charlie has to take his place, after the show Mary Elizabeth asked Charlie if he wanted to go to the dance with her and of course he said yes, but after a while they start going out and Charlie doesn't want to be together anymore but he doesn't want to hurt her feelings. When they have an Easter party they played truth or dare and Patrick gave Charlie a dare to kiss the prettiest girl in the room and he kisses Sam and Mary Elizabeth then ran out of the room and Patrick drove Charlie home and said that he should stay away for a while. Charlie then finds out that his sister had sex with her boyfriend and told him at the dance that she was pregnant and he broke up with her. So Charlie had to take her to the hospital to see if it was true and it was a false alarm. Soon Charlie was able to see his friends and his sister got a new boyfriend, its graduation and Charlie goes to a party with his friends and Sam was leaving the next day, everyone had left except Charlie and helps Sam pack and she asked him why he didn't ask her out and that she didn't want to be someones crush she wanted something real and then they started kissing and then he stops her because he wasn't feeling well and she said she was going to get her keys to take him home but he got really pale and stayed there and had a dream about how his Aunt touching him like the way Sam did but soon he got really bad and found out what happened.

A powerful moment was when you find out that Craig was cheating on Sam and Mary Elizabeth's boyfriend peter who is also Craig's friend starts yelling at him and calling him names. I really liked this book because I'm a big sucker for sad and love story books and this really met my expectations. I would recommend it to someone that would like a big twist in the end of books and sad, funny book.
