Imagine running from a gang, a slave owner, even your own father, and so much more! That is what Huck Finn and his friend Slave Jim are doing. To escape they must leave their home in Missouri and take on the "Mighty Mississippi" AKA the Mississippi river. They quickly realize that this wont be a walk in the park. In the beginning I realize that Huck spells wrong for example instead of isn't or weren't he uses arn't (and yes it's spelled in the book). Also they refer to the word Ni**er in the book and just on pg. 21 they say it brace yourself... 7 times!
The characters are:
The Protagonist:Huckleberry Finn, Huck has a dad but he is a drunkard his mother died, Huck has to overcome having no parents, and his friend Tom Sawyer, Tom forms a "gang" that goes around robbing people, Huck is in the middle of it.
The Antagonist: There are many in the book so I'll name one. Huck's Father. In the book they do not give his name in the book. Huck's Dad does not care about education at all. I think he is a bad influence (who wouldn't).
Other Characters: Jim the Slave: Huck's Guardian's Slave,Tom Sawyer: Huck's Best friend,Sid Sawyer: Tom's 1/2 bro
The setting: The time is set in the early 1800's in many places the Mississippi River (of course) Missouri,Illinois,Kentucky,and lastly the state of Arkansas. I have never been to the Mississippi River, I want to one day.
THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER
As you can see on the map all the states i listed border the Mississippi River Disney made a movie in 1993, My Dad was 16 years old, starring Elijah Wood, or in lord of the rings Frodo Baggins,
the movie also starred Courtney Vance. I saw the movie once, i think but it was really good you should even watch it.
