Prom and Prejudice
Is prom the only thing Lizzie doesn't like???
The main character Lizzie comes back to her all rich girls high school Longbourn Academy from winter break.
She's not rich but she got in as a scholarship student and everyone makes fun of her because of it.The one thing she is really excited about is seeing her best friend Jane. Jane is really nice and never sees the negative side in people. At Lizzie's school the most important thing to the girls is prom. To them prom is where you get asked out by a boy from Pemberly Academy, Get a designer dress, and Dance with your date out on the dance floor. Pemberly Academy is kind a like Longbourn but for boys and its really close to Longbourn. Lizzie isn't really interested in prom or the fancy dresses she thinks its dumb to buy a really expensive dress and only wear it for one night. Jane meets up with her boyfriend Charles Bingley and his friend Will Darcey at a school get together. Lizzie and Will Darcey don't start of good. Will acted differently when Lizzie told him that she was a scholarship student and Lizzie acted rude because she thought will would be like the other kids at her school and make fun of her. Charles cheats on Jane and Lizzie finds out the truth about Will Darcey and now feels guilty about all the things she has said to him.
What I liked about this book is that it kinda teaches you some lessons in life like don't judge people before you've actually meet them and life always gets tough. What I didn't really like about the book was the ending.
I would recommend this book because it's really good and it teaches you some life lessons about how hard high school life can be and how prom isn't as important as anything else in life.
