Reem's book review

Page history last edited by reem 9 years, 5 months ago

Skeleton creek series. When we started writing these notebook entries, I had finished reading the first book of the series, Now when I am writing this book review I am done with the third book. The first book involved Ryan and Sarah investigating their town's hidden treasure and getting stuck inside a secret room in the dredge(a machine used to find gold. Now failure). In the second book they try to get out of the the dredge without the ghost of old Joe Bush catching them. The ghost turned out to be Ryan's dad's oldest friend, Henry. Not knowing what to do, Ryan and his dad asked questions they wanted answers for. Ryan finds way to find the hidden gold in the dredge, as they were getting the gold out, they heard a noise and right then they new that Henry had disappeared, which was impossible, because earlier the park ranger had a little quarrel with Henry and Henry fell down, with a crushed leg Henry couldn't possibly have run away. But Ryan knew that the ghost of old Joe bush still existed. In the third book Ryan and Sarah unlock the mysteries not only of their own town but also some other places like, the Driskill hotel, the cemetery, and the high school.

These book series are written by Patrick Carman. These book series have a 150-200 page range. I liked how these book series brings out the detective in me. What I didn't like about these book series, is that how in the third book Sarah leaves skeleton creek. I recommend all five books because I think it brings out the detective in you!
