         Down below the sea in 1932 their was a city built free from government and slavery it was called rapture.

     Then name Rapture comes exactly from the word (which means majestic beautiful and prized) made By millionare playboy Andrew Ryan which cost him 472 million dollars today's equivlent is 212 billion dollars. In the under water city of Rapture all is peacefull until Fontane Futuristics( a million dollar company hired by Andrew Ryan to supply medical needs for the people of Rapture) Discovered of ADAM. 

        ADAM was discovered, by Dr. Suchong, a chemical from under water sea slugs produced from their ear glans can cause temporary DNA swap, allowing the user to get unnatural abilities from high doses into the bloodstream via needles.

     The first test on ADAM was on poor Julian fanete, a regular construction worker who had suffered a major injury using a metal cutter which had spun out of control and cut his abdominal area. 

     At the Julian was strapped to the table while Dr. Suchong injected him with the ADAM But what they didn't realize was the ADAM need another chemical compound to sustain stability. After injecting Julian, he begins to shake as if he was having a seizure. Dr. Suchong quickly grabed a bottle of jemsner which was made to put someone to sleep........For good.

     But luckily for Suchongs mistake it was the DNA of an electric eal. He poured the mixture into the IV bag. Julians body began to shake, his eyes gave an eary bllue glow. and the lights began to flicker as Julians body began to shake more, and because of that process broke he broke his back.

     After a brief few minutes it all stopped and Julians wound began to mysteriously heal by themselves. 

Julian then stood up and looked at Dr. Suchong and fell to the floor.

     Julian had died.

     They soon began testing again until they had the mixture right.

     They began to sell ADAM but with different DNA swaps as in Fire, Electricity, Telekinesis, and insect swarm.

     But when do things ever go smoothly.

     As you may have  guessed ADAM is a drug and it causes people to become addicted. 

     The people who become addicted are called Splicers, they feed off of ADAM. In the book you see many point of views from guards, splicers, even famous Frank Sinatra.

     Here i have 2 quotes from Andrew Ryan one is quote "A man Chooses a Slave Obeys  " and the second quote;   It wasn't impossible to build Rapture under the sea, It was impossible to build it anywhere else.

     I recommend this book for 15+ because of harsh language, Sexual content, Ratial slures, and gorey discription. Overall this book is just great not for the people with weak stomachs.
